Christmas and New Years

 We had a really fun Christmas this year. It was weird not getting to be home with our families, it was my first year away, but we still had a lot of fun.

Jake was so excited and made us get up at 6 that morning. I tried to explain that we don't have kids and should enjoy sleeping in on Christmas but that didn't happen...

(I really was happy...)

 We got lots of cool stuff from each other and our parents. I was really impressed at how well Jake did at picking things out for me on his own. It was a really fun Christmas for both of us!

 On New Years Eve we went for a drive around Norfolk. We love to go on drives and look at old houses. There are a lot of cool things to see in the area so we go on drives a lot.

 Later that night we went out to dinner. Then we went to the beach and saw the Christmas lights. You are supposed to pay to drive down the boardwalk to see them but we walked it instead (even though your not supposed to). It was such a nice night out and the lights were really pretty.

We are so thankful for the New Year and all the things we have to look forward to. Jake has 2 weeks off for leave right now. We have had a lot of fun and it has been so nice getting to spend all day together. I'm so thankful to finally have him home!
