Jake finally got home from deployment on December 10th! It was a long 7 months but we are so grateful he only had to be gone for that long.
My dad and Brody drove me to Virginia. We left late tuesday afternoon and finally made it to Virginia around 6 in the morning on Friday. I was really sick the whole trip so it seriously was the longest drive of my life and I'm not sure I can ever do it again. My poor dad had to drive the whole way (minus the 1 hour I drove and the 3 Brody drove). I am so thankful that he was willing to do that for me and that he didn't kick me out of the car somewhere along the way.
It was hard waiting on the pier for his ship to get their- I was too excited! Luckily it wasn't too cold that day.
I think he was a little happy to be home
I'm pretty sure I was trying to ignore my dad and his comments
I was so mad cus they started letting a bunch of people on the ship without letting the sailors off first so Jake was just stuck their and couldn't get off.
He looked over at me and I think he could tell I was getting pretty impatient waiting cus he picked up his bag and started pushing everybody out of the way and shoved his way off the ship. (Don't worry, only about 4 people were hit in the head with his huge bags while he was making his way off)
I can't believe he's finally home!
My Dad and Brody stayed a few more days and helped us move a little and got to see the area. I am so thankful that they got me here!

HAHAH! I loved this post. "pretty sure I was ignoring my dad" I would have said the same thing if I saw that picture without your explanation.. your face says it all.. hahhh. I was laughing through it all, until I saw the picture of you hugging and it made me want to cry. Geesh. You are amazing. I would not have made it! But I'm so glad you got to live close and be my bestie for those 7 months! Miss you guys! Oh and I wanna see pics of your new place!!

Hahah, I'm sorry you got sick. That is a freakin long drive already, and then to be sick? Me and Christian were laughing reading about Jake smacking people with his bags. That's one of our biggest pet peeves in Arizona...everyday getting off the light rail people try to get on first. Hello? It's off...then on. That way there's room. Stupid people. So glad he's home. Miss you guys.
