4th of July Weekend

We had a fun 4th of July weekend. On Saturday we went to a BBQ at Munden Point Park (its about 30 minutes from where we live). It was really pretty there

On Sunday we went to our friends house and did a BBQ with 3 other couples. Later that night we went and watched the fireworks they do on the oceanfront. We rode with one of the couples and a lady told them they could park at their house since they live close to the ocean. We spent an hour and a half in traffic (and only moved a few miles). When we finally made it to their house we saw that someone had parked in our spot.

The fireworks were starting in 3o minutes and there was absolutely nowhere to park so we drove to the closest military base and watched them from there. It ended up being nice though cus we actually had a place to lay out our blankets on the beach and sit. The fireworks were so pretty and they had a good finale.

Yes, I made me and Jake wear "4th of July" shirts. He wouldnt admit it but I know he liked his shirt.

We're so thankful for the country we live in and all the privileges we have. Even though there are many things I hate about being a "military wife", I'm proud of Jake and all the things he does and the sacrifices he makes.
