Memorial Day Weekend

We had a lot of fun Memorial Day Weekend. There was a strawberry festival on sunday that we went to. It was really hot but we had fun.

I couldnt go to a strawberry festival without getting a strawberry shortcake (it looks a lot better than it tasted- the strawberries were not that great)
Jake was just thrilled to be out in the sun surrounded by a ton of people- at least he got to wear his power rangers shirt
We decided when Jake gets out of the Navy we are going to pack up and become carnys...
On our way home we saw a turtle so we had to stop and look at it
I wanted to take it home but Jake wouldnt let me.
We were so excited to see a field! We kinda felt like we were at home for a minute

We decided we wanted to drive across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. It's about 24 miles long and it was pretty cool to cross. It cost $12 to go across it and then $5 to come back since we came back within 24 hours. We figured it was something we had to do at least once while we were here.
Inside the tunnel: (We cannot figure out how they built the tunnel)

Coming out of the tunnel:
It was just pretty to have water on both sides of us

On Monday we went to Fort Monroe- an Army base in Hampton. It was so cool and pretty
Cannons that point out towards the Chesapeake Bay
Chesapeake Bay- it was so pretty
