Jake Leaving...

Jake left May 11th on deployment and probably won't be home until sometime in December. It came really fast and we weren't ready for him to leave...

 I am going to miss him so much!

 I was glad they had to wear their dress whites. They never wear them so they all looked nice in them.

 He was so sad that day.

It was sad watching them pull away. I'm just glad it's not me that has to go.

 I picked my dad up on Saturday night from the airport (around 7) and we left from there and headed home. I learned a big lesson on the way home... never drive through West Virginia late at night low on gas. Nothing is open. When we finally found a gas station we put 19 gallons in my car (it holds 20!) Let's just say me and my dad were sweating and preparing ourselves to spend the night in the middle of nowhere.

We drove all night Saturday night except for the 2 hours we stopped to sleep in the car. We drove all day Sunday and got to Annie's house in Nebraska around 10:30 and stayed the night. The next morning we left around 8:30 and were home that night by 10:45. It was a long ride but I'm glad we finally made it.
