Our Long (but fun) Adventure

Sunday- Day 1:
On March 14th we said goodbye to everyone, loaded my car to the top, and headed for Virginia. My family bawled as we drove away (I know my dad might not seem like it but he is the biggest baby ever- he was worse than my mom!) Before we pulled out of the driveway we filled up with gas and my dad walked over from where we had left him crying to the car and said, "Would you leave already so I can quit crying?" It was pretty funny (but sad) to see him like that. We only drove to Salt Lake the first day but we could already tell it was going to be a long trip!

Monday- Day 2:Today we drove to Kearney, Nebraska and the Riley's came and saw us for a while. The place we stayed at that night only had a room with 2 beds in it so we just took it cus we did not want to have to look anywhere else. Of course the Riley's thought it was a little strange that we had only been married a few days and were already getting seperate beds. It was funny though cus the next morning Jake woke up in the other bed- I guess we do need seperate beds...

Tuesday- Day 3:
Well this picture pretty much explains this day of our trip:

I even helped drive

I guess driving was too much for me (or maybe it was the stuff jake was talking about that put me to sleep)

Wednesday- Day 4:

Today was our last day of driving. We were so excited

We drove through southern Ohio for a while this morning and felt like we were in redneck country. (We couldnt get any good pictures though to show what it was like)
Jake got tired so I drove the last 9 hours of the trip

I guess some people just aren't cut out for life on the road

"What?! We have to pay to use this road? This better be one good road!" Thats what I said when we pulled up to the first toll. We had to pay at 2 toll stations (it was only $2 each time) but those roads were not worth my $4 to drive on

West Virginia was my favorite state to drive through. It was mountains and trees the whole time. We tried taking some pictures but they didnt look anything like what we were seeing.

We were so excited when we saw the Virginia sign. We made it Norfolk around 11:00 and stayed the night there.
